Diba Towfigian and her friends from the West Island Run Club are lacing up for the 2026 Marathon Beneva de Montréal to support Hope for Dementia and its programs that help seniors stay active, socially connected, and engaged in activities that support physical and cognitive health.
With nearly 1 million people in Canada projected to be living with dementia by 2030, young people have an important role to play—both in protecting their own brain health and in standing with older adults in their communities. Millennials, Gen X, and Gen Y are the caregivers of tomorrow, and every step Diba and her team take is a step toward hope, prevention, and stronger support for seniors living with or at risk of dementia.
Please cheer them on and help make a difference.
