More than distributing brain-healthy food to hundreds of vulnerable seniors, Hope for Dementia has been promoting the importance of healthy eating habits through workshops in our Mindful Eating. Healthy Minds. program.
While over 100 seniors have participated in these workshops, we are now expanding our reach to include caregivers in the Mindful Eating program.
Caregivers often neglect their health because of the demands of caregiving responsibilities.
Since the end of January, Hay Doun, an organization that provides services for caregivers, has opened its doors and kitchen so that Hope for Dementia could offer cooking workshops led by Wellness coach Dina Merhbi.

Caregivers took a well-needed break to learn how to take small, effective steps to take care of their brain health and well-being, while sharing a delicious meal they made together.
