Did you know?
45% of dementia cases can be potentially prevented by addressing 14 modifiable risk factors.
Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) updated their guidelines on dementia prevention and cognitive decline risks. The evidence-based guidelines are to help caregivers, policymakers and other stakeholders take action to support dementia prevention. The updated guidelines include environmental risk factors, tailored multidomain interventions (customized plans), and advice on healthy lifestyles and managing health conditions.
Hope for Dementia’s programs aim to promote the prevention of dementia by reducing the modifiable risks such as isolation, depression, and physical inactivity.
