A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by the Hope for Dementia booth at Pet Day on Saturday, August 22 at Edgewater Park, Pointe-Claire! We truly enjoyed meeting you, your families and of course, your wonderful pets. ❤️🐶🐱
More importantly, Pet Day gave us the opportunity to hear your personal experiences with family members living with dementia and to share Hope for Dementia’s message and mission: promoting dementia prevention and encouraging people to take action to reduce their risk by up to 45%.
Our handout on the 14 modifiable risks of dementia was especially popular! We hope you’ll visit our online Resource Centre to learn more about these risks and discover practical steps you can take to protect your brain health, starting now.
We were also encouraged by the support for our programs. Thank you to everyone who made a donation. Your generosity helps us continue our work in the community. 💙

Finally, a big thank you to The Suburban newspaper for organizing Pet Day and for inviting Hope for Dementia to participate. We are proud and grateful to be recognized as the Best Nonprofit in the Best of Montreal!

A special highlight was meeting Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot #6, and quarterback Davis Alexander #10! 🏈 Thank you both for your autographs and, even more importantly, for your interest in Hope for Dementia’s mission. We appreciate your understanding of the concussion–dementia connection and your commitment to helping relay the message to younger athletes: protect your head, play sports safely, and wear a helmet when appropriate.

Thank you, Montreal, for your support. Together, we can raise awareness, promote brain health, and help reduce the risk of dementia. 💙
