GIVING TUESDAY IS ON DECEMBER 3, 2024
With all the natural disasters in the world today, the tsunami of dementia that is coming is not being talked about very much. Currently nearly 700,000 persons in Canada live with some form of dementia and if trends continue, this number will rise to nearly 1,000,000 by 2030.
However, there is a growing body of research evidence demonstrates that 40% of dementia cases could be prevented through the management of 12 risk factors.
HOPE FOR DEMENTIA IS TAKING ACTION.
Undaunted by the growth in dementia diagnoses, Hope for Dementia is pressing ahead by providing programs that promote dementia risk reduction through healthy eating, cognitive stimulation activities, social interaction, and increased physical activity.
WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE.
It will take the collective efforts of our community and beyond, to amplify the message to take action to help reduce the risks of dementia.
Today is Giving Tuesday. Please give generously to bring HOPE.
