


We are excited to introduce the Hope for Dementia’s Step Challenge, a brand-new initiative that encourages physical activity while raising critical funds to support our programs that aim to prevent dementia and promote cognitive health.
The theme of the Step Challenge is Move for a Healthy Mind, Move for a Healthy Community, because physical activity is an important way to potentially reduce the risks of dementia.
The Step Challenge involves setting a goal to raise funds while doing a physical activity.
- Examples of activities: walking, step climbing, running, bike ride, golf game, yoga, dancing, car wash, soccer tournament, hockey camp, …
Why Participate?

Our goal is to raise $50,000
- $50: Provides 1 meal a week for 2 weeks for a person living with dementia.
- $100: Provides 3sets of exercise equipment for seniors in our Move for a Healthy Mind Program.
- $250: Provides 2 food baskets for 2 group meals, supporting 10 participants in our Mindful Eating for Healthy Minds Program.
- $500: Supplies 10 activity kits for our Intergenerational Learning Program, promoting connection and cognitive stimulation.
- $1500: Equips 10 boxes of items for cognitive stimulation activities in the Busy Box. Better Brain. program, promoting mental acuity.
- $5000: Enables the purchase of 10 iPads or tablets, facilitating participation in the Just Connect and Intergenerational Learning Programs, and enhancing mental stimulation and socialisation.
