A day filled with wonderful memories!
On May 27, eight young volunteers—students from Saint-Laurent High School, Édifice Émile-Legault—shared their feedback at the close of the spring session of the Intergenerational Learning Program.
“Yes, I loved the activity, especially the time spent with the residents of La Résidence Place St. Moritz.”
“I liked it when they told stories; it was interesting.“
”I really liked the activity and the charming smiles of the seniors.”
The only downside… ‘The time spent with the residents was too short.’ That was the opinion of the majority of the students. Phew!
Clearly, the intergenerational learning program bridges the gap between generations, allows young people and seniors to feel valued, and breaks the social isolation that seniors often suffer from.
A resounding success!
