We are proud to announce that Parsa Famili, President, and Fati Davoudi, Executive Director, and Eyad Fallouh, volunteer of Hope for Dementia have been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of their dedication and contribution to society through the charity Hope for Dementia.
This prestigious honor, awarded by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall and presented by Ms. Emmanuella Lambropoulos, M.P. Saint-Laurent, recognizes Canadians who have made significant contributions to their communities. It celebrates their achievements, dedication, and commitment to the well-being of Canadian society.
Mr. Famili, Ms. Davoudi and Mr. Fallouh’s commitment to raising awareness, driving change, and supporting vulnerable seniors, including persons at risk of dementia and those affected by cognitive decline continues to make an impactful difference.
Since its inception 10 years ago, Hope for Dementia has launched six programs that support dementia prevention and risk reduction through nutrition, exercise, cognitive stimulation and group activities. Thousands of seniors living in rural and urban areas in Québec and the Maritimes have benefited from these programs, which have been delivered mainly by youth volunteers. Hope for Dementia has consistently advocated for dementia prevention to become a national healthcare priority, through federal and provincial petitions, and by raising awareness through presentations, white papers and research, reaching a large audience within and beyond Canada.
We cordially invite you to join the fight against cognitive impairment by supporting this important cause through volunteering and donations. Please visit our website for more information and to support Hope for Dementia. www.hopefordementia.org
