Hope for Dementia is pleased to announce the launch of their new project Move for a Healthy Mind. This 8-month project was created to encourage elderly people to exercise by attending classes led by a certified trainer and following our at home videos. On May 24, 2024, Hope for Dementia donated 40 bags of exercising equipment to be used during the classes by 40 people from two seniors’ residences. Physical activity is very important as it helps maintain a healthy body and mind and is also one of the 12 modifiable risk factors of dementia.
This program is funded in part by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Hope for Dementia.
