Hope for Dementia’s Intergenerational Learning Program was featured on stage at the Intergénérations Québec gala on 13 May. Nominated in the top 3 finalists for the ‘Transmission’ category from a field of 100 contestants, our program was recognized as a key contributor to the well-being of our seniors and youth!
Kudos to our team members Darius Ziaie and Kian Famili, who were among the very first volunteers in the Intergenerational Learning Program when it was launched over 5 years ago. These young volunteers continue to support the program and encourage other youth to teach seniors how to use apps to break social isolation and to stay mentally active, while learning from seniors, lessons and tips about life, careers and hobbies.
