What does a kiosk in a bank have to do with the Hummingbird Effect?
For us at Hope for Dementia, it means that every dollar dropped in the donation boxes at the RBC Place Vertu branch has made it possible for Hope for Dementia to expand our programs in the past two years.
Like the Hummingbird Effect, the seemingly small donations have made a big difference.
- 5,000 people in Saint-Laurent, QC received nutritious food, along with recipes and information on ways to reduce the risks of dementia.

Thank you, Marco Guarino, Manager, RBC Place-Vertu, who welcomed Hope for Dementia’s Kian Famili, on Thursday 4 September in the branch to promote our services and receive donations from clients.
But that’s not all! Donation boxes are kept in the branch throughout the year. Bank clients can donate their small change to make a big change in the lives of others. This seemingly small action has raised awareness about dementia prevention and has on-boarded volunteers to help Hope for Dementia distribute food baskets to vulnerable seniors in Saint-Laurent.
